Biography
Giorgia Severi was born in 1984 in Ravenna, where she studied mosaic restoration and attended the Academy of Fine Arts. Her multimedia research deals with issues related to ecology and the environment by archiving fragments of landscapes that are disappearing or rapidly changing due to anthropic, geological and climatic action. Severi records climate change and environmental contamination, invasive and endangered species, local traditions and political landscapes. The projects are developed through different techniques and media, including the best known frottage, painting and drawing, video and photography.
