Biography
Florence Di Benedetto, 1975
“My research focuses on telling the stories that touch me the most with a very personal and often symbolic approach. I believe that photography can generate empathy, emotion and interest and create deep connections.
My stories are always different, and I use my memories and traditions to tell them. However, all the stories I tell with images have in common the narrative style, joyful, at times playful and carefree, apparently light-hearted. A style inspired by that innate ability to survive that helps us overcome the little ones and the big ones storms of life. As a great master of Italian literature, Italo Calvino, teaches us “Take life lightly, that lightness is not superficiality, but gliding over things from above, not having boulders on your heart”.
