Biography
Gail Albert Halaban (born Washington, DC, 1970) received her BA from Brown University and her MFA in photography from Yale University. She has taught at prestigious institutions including the Pasadena Art Center, the International Center of Photography, and Yale University.
She has participated in several groups and solo exhibitions, internationally, including a recent solo exhibition at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, NY, which included several images of Out My Window taken around the world. Three monographs on Albert Halaban’s work have been published: Out My Window (PowerHouse, 2012),
Paris Views (Aperture, 2014) and Italian Views (Aperture, 2019). In the summer of 2019, Edwynn Houk’s gallery will also present a solo exhibition of Albert Halaban’s work. The artist currently lives and works in New York City.
